Not-Fried Fried Ice Cream

Does the idea of making fried ice cream at home seem overwhelming? Here's a recipe that makes it easy (and a little healthier)!

Ingredients:

  • Vanilla ice cream
  • 6-8 oz. plain potato chips
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp. Butter

Optional Toppings:

  • Chocolate syrup
  • Whipped cream
  • Cherries
  • Chopped Nuts

Directions:

  1. Crush potato chips into a fine consistency.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Melt butter and stir in sugar and cinnamon. Allow mixture to cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring regularly to prevent burning.
  3. Stir in the crushed potato chips and stir until fully coated in the sugar and butter mixture. Again, allow to cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring regularly to prevent burning.
  4. Pour mixture into a bowl and allow to cool.
  5. While mixture is cooling, roll vanilla ice cream into 3"-4" balls.
  6. Roll ice cream in cooled mixture and fully coat.
  7. Add the toppings of your choice and enjoy!
